I am so proud of my new boy from Czechoslovakia, Hawk! aka Dak Zem-Hrad (SVK).
I took him into Cabella's last weekend and I couldn't walk more than 6 steps before somebody was asking to pet him! He was so awesome! Patient, loving, accepting. If they knew he had been trained in protection, I doubt they would have been hugging him and kissing him! He just loves people so much, he quietly put up with it all.
I'm wondering if he's part cat though. He loves to rub up against your legs like a cat! He doesn't realize he weighs around a hundred pounds! One girl squatted beside him and he decided to do his cat imitation. She thought it was probably a better idea if she just sat on the floor. She then invited him onto her lap and he was more than happy to oblige!
What a fantastic dog he is! Everything a German Shepherd should be. There's absolutely nothing I can criticize about him. Gorgeous, brave, good structure, social, wants to please. He's amazing! Oh! And a goofball! He makes me laugh several times a day.
OH! And I have his Canadian Kennel Club registration papers now! He is now double registered. Registered both in Canada and Czechoslovakia! Pretty special boy!
