Miss Orange aka Firecracker! - ADOPTED

Miss Orange is my "Firecracker!"

She's an independent, dominant female that loves people.  But you'll have to prove to her that she shouldn't take lead position.  She is best suited for experienced people who will be able to negotiate terms with her.  She is courageous and forgiving but she will sneak around the back to get that toy when you're not looking.  She's the kind of puppy I would keep for myself.  You will fall in love with her the instant you see her!  She is absolutely gorgeous!

Dog theft is at an all time high!

Dog theft is at an all time high!  Yes I said it twice. Horror stories are abundant these days and almost all have a sad ending. Police are saying only 1/10 dogs are returned safely. And if you have a grown dog that barks and normally chases off strangers, this is still not a guarantee your dog won't be taken. There are stories of thieves using catchpoles like the dog catchers do. Please do not leave your dogs unattended in yards or anywhere else for that matter!

Mr. Blue - ADOPTED!

Here is what the Puppy Evaluation Test tells me about Mr. Blue:

Mr. Blue is highly social.  Loves crawling up onto your lap with all four paws.  He is in the middle of the pack, proven by the fact that he chased the ball, grabbed it and thought about going the other direction.  But with encouragement, he came back to the tester.  A good middle of the pack puppy.  He has very high food drive and his biddability is the highest I've ever seen.  He forgives once, quickly, but the second time is slower to come to the same conclusion.  For this reason I suggest this puppy go to a family with  older childen (10 and up) as opposed to youngsters.  Younger children can accidentally fall on the dog, or pull it's ears.  Not that Mr. Blue couldn't handle it but he would possibly pout or go to his crate.  He has very high food drive which is why his biddability is so high.  Mr. Blue loves his food!  He is very quick to problem solve and even faster in the learning and memory category.  Mr. Blue would do well in competition, search and rescue and would be a great pet for families with older children

Miss Pink - ADOPTED!

This is what the Puppy Evaluation Test tells me about Miss Pink:

Miss Pink is incredibly happy and social.  It doesn't matter what she is doing, if there's people around, everything stops to go see them.  She is the smallest of the litter and therefore has had to fight for every morsel.  The fact she has high food drive does not surprise me.  She's tough, smart and sweet.  She entertains herself when necessary and she is very courageous. She loves her people so much she seldom if ever leaves their side.  Her biddability is above average and her forgiveness is pretty much off the charts.  Her problem solving is at the high end of the chart as is her memory/learning capabilities.  She would be perfect for a family with children of any age who wants a sweet, loving family companion they can take anywhere.  (She's my favourite!)

Miss Yellow - ADOPTED!

This is what the Puppy Evaluation Test tells me about Miss Yellow.

Miss Yellow is a social dog.  She is the dominant dog of the litter which is proven in the fact she ran after the ball but did not bring it back.  She kept it for herself.  This can be remedied quickly with some training.  Remember, this are innate qualities and many can be changed through training.  Not all, but most.  She entertains herself when necessary and is courageous.  Nothing seems to phase her.  Her biddability is a little above average and her forgiveness is good.  She scored above average on her problem solving and average on her learning/memory.  She would make a good dog for a one dog household and a family with older children (10+).  Experience in training large dogs would be an asset as she is likely to insist on checking that you are still Alpha on occasion.

Mr. Purple - ADOPTED!

This is what the Puppy Evaluation Test tells me about Mr. Purple.

Mr. Purple is a very social puppy.  He loves to please as proven by his natural retrieve.  He is not demanding and will entertain himself when left to his own devices.  He tested as courageous and able to problem solve and learn quickly.  He is tough but not too tough so won't be hard to train.  His biddability score is high and he has a forgiving nature.  Mr Purple would be suitable for a family with young children.

Unbelievable Frustration

As most of you know I have been unable to access my website since the end of October. My laptop died creating a problem where I could not get to my software to update it I bought a new computer and it turns out because it's a surface pro instead of a regular laptop that the files would not jive. So I eventually found a friend who found an old laptop for me and it was too old to download the Site Builder software onto. So then she found a little bit newer laptop that would download it but then it had disappeared from the Internet. I contacted the Web hosting company and they said that Site Builder was no longer going to be used! I still had until March 2021 to access my files they said. So they sent me the program via email which I downloaded to my friends computer, but that didn't work either. Then there was a Java problem. I finally got that fixed and now I have Site Builder on my friends laptop.

Now you would think that was a good thing but now I have to import my files from the Internet onto this computer. I was told that the Internet website was where all my files were stored. So today I try and import my site onto the new Site Builder and it won't download. Now they're telling me that I don't have the files on my computer!! This is an absolute mess! And on top of that they told me that I can't just take my website and transfer it over to a new website builder. I have to rebuild my website right from the start. It took me hundreds of hours to build my website. I am so frustrated and angry!

Introducing “Baby”!

Baby was born weighing only just over 100 grams!  Usually they weigh 325-450 grams at birth.  She needed help for the first 24 hours but after that she's done everything on her own!  She's amazing!  How she manages to push away her brothers and sisters so she can eat is beyond me.  But she does it.  She looks like a miniature German Shepherd.  Everything is in exact measurement, just half the size at 5 weeks old.  She's the cutest thing ever!

Intro to the doggy door

I always enjoy introducing the puppies to the doggie door. Their hesitancy turns into downright abandonment in about three minutes. It's quite fun to watch.!
