Thank you D! She alway sends a beautiful homemade Christmas card which is very much appreciated! This is Lexi. Lexi is D's second Angel. Obviously trying not to be "naughty" before Santa arrives!

Covid - It finally caught me!
😷Travelling through multiple airports, I have managed to pick up Covid! I had intended to jump right back into catching up with emails and phone calls as soon as my body adjusted to the 17 hour time change. But no such luck! At this point, I'm doing pretty well but don't want to push things. I'm trying to take it easy as best I can. My apologies to those who are waiting to hear back from me. I promise I will get back to everyone as soon as my health allows. And I will answer in order of date received.
I do have a few puppies available. Payment plans may be available under some circumstances.

Aptitude Test "These are my kind of puppies!"
The obstacle course is just one part of the Aptitude Test. This test is a new and much improved version of the one I have been using for decades. I took a 3 day course on how to conduct and assess it from Gayle Watkins, the person that wrote it. At that time, I was lucky enough to have her assess 2 of my puppies along with 2 puppies of different breeds as demonstration dogs. Her comment at the end of testing my puppies was "Now these are my kind of puppies!" That was high praise from someone who tests hundreds of puppies a year! I was so proud of my "Angels"!

People often ask me...
People often ask me "How do you get anything done with these adorable puppies around"? The sad truth is, I spend approximately 98% of my time cleaning, feeding, washing dishes, getting supplies, answering phone calls, answering emails, giving vitamins, doing laundry, entertaining puppy owners or potential puppy clients, washing floors, taking photographs, vet visits, microchipping, updating my blog and Facebook and caring for all the other dogs. I rarely just get to sit and enjoy my puppies.

Another "Right of Passage"!
The puppy building is approximately 24'X36' building built specifically for the pups. It has lots of windows for sunshine, open areas to build muscles, a speaker system to learn about new noises (sound effects), electricity for lights and heat for those dark and cold days/nights, a Mom area so she can escape from the little ones when she needs a break, and a doggie door that opens onto a covered deck for more sunshine and fresh air, It also has a litter box with shavings so they are pretty much area trained by the time they go home! That is a definite bonus!
Oh ya! And a crate so Mom can teach them it's a great place to sleep. Mom is so important at this stage. Although she has pretty much weaned them, she is crucial in teaching them life lessons!

Short clip of Mr. Green Bottle Feeding
Mr. Green is having a little trouble latching on but that doesn't prevent him for devouring his home made formula! It's a secret recipe but I'll tell you it contains whole fat plain yoghurt, canned goat's milk and human baby vitamins. Among some very exotic other things! Literally 10X better than the powdered variety! Nothing is too good for my babies!
Puppies Practicing Walking - I Love This Time in Their Lives!
This is my absolute favourite time for the puppies! They are 3 weeks old and very unsteady on their feet! Plus! They don't have any teeth yet! A definite bonus when introducing them to children! These are Gaia's puppies and if you'll notice, there's a few stuffed toys in the whelping box for stimulation. They are at the stage when they now know there is something outside of themselves. The acknowledge their littermates and actually starting trying to play with each other. So fun to watch! They also recognize me for the first time!

If I could please ask a favour of you...
My good friend Julie, manages my Facebook page for me because
1. I don't have time to deal with it and
2. I have no desire to learn how to use it!
So on August 24 when I posted that I had been voted one of the top GSD breeders in Alberta on my blog, (an absolute honour), she very kindly put the announcement up on the Guardian Angel Shepherds Facebook page. I was curious to see if there had been any comments and sure enough, there were! The really cool thing was, a few of them were from people who had adopted puppies from here in years past ! It really touched my heart that they took the time to do that. It occurred to me that it would be a fantastic reference if other owners of my dogs were to add their photos and their comments. I would really appreciate the marketing help. I'm always telling everyone that I'm great with dogs, not so good at business. I need all the help I can get! So if I could ask a favour of anyone who had the time and inclination to add a comment and/or photo, it would be most appreciated!
And to those who have commented already, thank you for sharing your experience here and I'm so glad that all your dogs are what you hoped for! It makes all my work worthwhile.
Thanking you in advance.
Mary Ann
