Another Happy Family - Reference

Hi Mary Ann
Have you ever scene a more perfect dog and that is just her looks. She IS the perfect dog for us in any case. People stop us just to look at her.She poses for them. Many ask where in the world we got her, we should carry a bunch of your cards with us. She is calm by nature but can turn it in when required. She is extremely curious but cautious and brave. She uses her head to assess situations before moving ahead. She is happy now riding in vehicles and getting in and out.Don't know what her initial hesitancy was all about we pressed our 26 year old van back into service and she was cool with that then she graduated to other vehicles. She nine months old and  just over 60 Lbs. She is in heat! We expect a line up of male dogs sporting flowers and chocolates at the door when we take her out to pee.The Vet recommended letting her have at least one heat cycle before spaying her.
Hope all is well with you and the gang.
Thanks

Up for Adoption

3 year old trained male

European working line GSD

Suited for family protection, SAR, Drug or Bomb dog.

Ranger is up for adoption!  To very experienced handlers only.  He is 3 years old, and would make a good family/protection dog for a family with older children.  He would also excel in Schutzhund,  SAR or a bomb or drug dog.  He is high energy, strong and intact.  He is a dominant dog and does not like other male dogs.  But if you are an experienced trainer, that shouldn't be a concern.  He knows all basic commands, has been raised in a home with children and loves to play fetch and tug.  He weighs 100+ pounds.  He will be sold on a non-breeding contract.  His fee is $5000.  If you are interested in Ranger, please fill out the application questionnaire found on the EXTRAS page of my Guardian Angel Shepherds website.  Please put Ranger's name on the top of the application.  Do not apply if you are not an experienced trainer.  You can also email me at k9trainer@dogwhisperer.ca

All dogs should...

... spend time in their crates, even if you're home. This is a photo of my office while I'm on the computer. If you only use your crate when you go out, your dog  may associate the crate with you leaving.   Then you will have a dog that whines and scratches the whole time he's in there. Give them something nice while they're inside like a raw bone or a stuffed Kong and they will love going in!

During this extreme cold, I've had my dogs in 24/7. They don't all get along so this is the safest place for them. They are all happy to go in and take turns spending 15-20 minutes outside. It's a rotation of dogs all day. Dogs in crates, dogs loose in the house and dogs outside. And everyone is happy and safe!

Going clockwise, this is Gypsy, Zeus, Cruz and Gaia.

I’m honoured.

As you can tell, I was given this awhile ago. But it still means as much to me today as it did the day I received it. Thank you Susan.

Miss Orange aka Firecracker! - ADOPTED

Miss Orange is my "Firecracker!"

She's an independent, dominant female that loves people.  But you'll have to prove to her that she shouldn't take lead position.  She is best suited for experienced people who will be able to negotiate terms with her.  She is courageous and forgiving but she will sneak around the back to get that toy when you're not looking.  She's the kind of puppy I would keep for myself.  You will fall in love with her the instant you see her!  She is absolutely gorgeous!
