There's two you can't see. One is under her armpit and the other is under her back leg.

We have puppies! Lots of puppies!

Twelve to be exact! And honestly, that's way too many. Especially for a first time Mom. I hope I can keep them all alive. The first 3 days are extremely critical. That's the first hurdle. Then two weeks is the next. If I can get them to 2 weeks, all should be good. There is an extraordinary large amount of work ahead of me and I haven't slept for 36 hours. And no sleep in the forecast any time soon. I'm off to make some homemade formula! Wish me luck!

PUPPIES!

Maya was due March 1st but made us wait an extra 2 days. This is the setup before we started. We had 2 puppies 2 hours ago but nothing since. Believe me. 2 hours feels like 6 when you're waiting for puppies. We are expecting 8!

It’s beginning to look a lot like… Puppies!!

My Black Dogs

Just found this old photo of Merlin & isis. Both came from the Czech Republic many years apart. Merlin is no longer with us and Isis is 15 now. Merlin is on the left and Isis is using the food bowl as a pillow!

Nova!

Nova has two favourite toys. Outside, it's a three sided orange "thing". Inside, it's this lime coloured dog bone. It's the only toys she hasn't managed to destroy. Both were purchased at Bass Pro Shop. For some strange reason they are the very best place to buy "indestructible" dog toys. Seems like if they are lime/neon green or bright orange the seem to last forever.

Prince has found a home!

Thank you to everyone for sharing Prince's story!  We were successful in finding Prince a new home!  But I should maybe say that in a little different way.  Prince has found new owners, not a new home!  The people who are purchasing the farm are going to adopt Prince and keep him in the same place he has been all his life!  What a wonderful outcome for Prince!  Again, thank you to everyone who helped and shared.  We have been successful!

Cali & me

This is Calibre. He is a half brother to Tazer & Trinity. He is here for some training. He decided I needed a tongue bath just after parking. I took him to town to work on distractions. He loves going to town! I think he's going to cause me to have another shower today!

Let's not let anyone kill Prince!

Prince is still in need of a home.  Good with farm animals, kids and cats!  Comes when called.  Doesn't wander.  Neutered.  Well mannered.  Well trained.  Still lively and loves to play fetch.  Sounds like he may come with a chainlink kennel and insulated dog house.  And some food and dishes probably as well.  PLEASE! PLEASE help find a home for Prince before October 15^th!  You can contact Kim directly at www.elderdogs.ca for more information.  And if you do take him, please let me know.  I'm so worried about this beautiful old guy.  His owners are elderly and have to move off the farm.  He's had a wonderful life of having free reign of the farm and protecting all the critters from harm.  Surely there must be someone out there who could take him!
